My first Zen x)

Zen Stone Plus, as recommended by Eugene. Actually wanted the Zen V Plus, the same as Huishi's but I don't know if hers is a plus or not. But they say it stop production already. >.<

I saw the Mosaic there.



I wanted to get this cos you see, it looks so nice. But then again, the functions overlap with my iPod Touch so I decided not to get it. Afterall, I'm buying a Zen cos my iPod Shuffle totally broke down (battery leak) and the itouch is too huge to bring around listening to music. Well.

Mosaic costed the same but i have to buy the accessories separately and according to Eugene, it's not hardy. haha xD

Tmr's the 2.4km beach run! I think I'm so gonna fail it man. Like, seriously. But think I should try to run it as fast as I can to pass so I don't have to re-run for the retest. >.<

Anyway, today had Math Class and everyone were asked to bring laptop. After we are connected to the school internet, nearly everyone who brought a laptop was online and we were having a mass convo online until Mr Lee found out. LOL. >.< bad bad students. hahah.

Hmm. What else. Oh finally the tests are over!! :D

Math was quite good. Except for the last question for stats which I'm not sure if the reasons i gave was acceptable. Physics is okay and it is aloooot of writing. Know that I've got 1 MCQ wrong already. T.T

After school went for the Talent Search Finals, were running around the place taking pictures for MA. haha it was fun with Shu Xian, Vivian and I keep swapping phones to take pictures and then sending to my phone XD. The contestants are good. The piano, the I'm Yours song and Zhong Xuan's beat box was extra good. Uly was super funny! XD

RAWR. okay gtg and do math presentation. Sian, tomorrow AMC, if not I can make it on time at 3pm to help out for cheMagic. >.<


Okay i'm in school now. Trying to find Ms Lim and Mr Lee for tutoring but don't think I cant find them already. =/ Hmm. Getting Vivian to teach me. hahaha.

Anyway, yesterday was FUN! =D Played cards tricks with Gary, Kenneth, another year 4 and another year 6. haha. x)

Okay I'm having quite a bit of difficulty writing a personal opinion for physics reflection especially when the presentation was so much of calculation. I can't possibly be commenting on calculations can I. >.<


Okay looking at the situation now... My thought will never come true. I cannot even master what is given now.


Okay just got back from SMESA Youth Wing Annual General Meeting. It starts at 2pm so I thought I just have to reach at that time but who knows the minute I on my computer I saw a message saying all comm members must meet at 11am at St.Margaret's Sec Sch.

I was like O.O WTH. And rushes out of the house. Note: I woke up at 10.15am.

Okay the AGM. It was nice, seriously. Cos Esther, Mian and Janice were there. I even saw Miki and Yeeki! =DDD how nice. Saw Faith and Shamini too. x)

Hm, during the AGM, Mrs Wong talked alot about giving back from where you gain and serving the community. I like her point though I don't really like the way she bring her message across. No offence. But I could feel the same kind of spirit for St.Margaret's in me as her and Aneesha talked about their spirit. Well. Giving back and feeling pleased when helping others :) Aneesha even talked about the morals the school taught her :D haha.

Anyway. Got into the committee again during the election anyway there was really a election. It's more of, someone proposes you to be in the Comm and then someone else have to second the vote. =)

Okay anyway, I better get going and STUDYYYY. >.<


Man. Sui Bi need to write about RHD or translation week. =/ I have totally nothing to write about both except maybe for the translation competition finals which got me addicted to the song "I'm Yours" =D

Hmm. Can't really recall what was happening on Wed and Thurs and I just know what I spent alot of time on Physics on Wed and slept at 8.30pm yesterday night cos I fell asleep in front of the laptop. LOL. (Realised people were talking to me and replied once/twice before I fall asleep again and go to bed. My Mum off-ed the laptop for me O.O )

Oh, for Bio yesterday, we were watching a video on Plants. Then they showed this super digusting "fast forward" (I dont know what's the effect called) of a fern growing.

Me (says quite loud) : "EW. What's that??"
The video said the next second: "These are ferns."

O.O I'm talking to the video. Gerry burst out laughing. hahahaha. xDDDD

Hm. Math today was quite nice. Oh well. Math always had been nice. Just that I seriously can't do stats. Just decided to arrange a Math Extra Lesson with Mr Lee if he actually comes online before Mon.

I shall elaborate on these two days.

YESTERDAY:

Woke up extra early at 6am to come to school (took a cab, no way am I gonna wake up at 5am to reach school at 7.15am). Fetch the China Exchange Students from the Canteen at 7.20am and brought them up to the concourse! :D

After that, during the Flag-Raising, Mr Suresh introduced all the xchage students to the school :) They sat in for the lessons then. hahah :) After school at 11am, we had lunch at canteen and then Su Hang, Vivian and I brought six of them to Bugis! :D cabbed down. and took MRT back. JiaYu and Lin Xi bought a whole set of clothes! O.O

Cabbed from MRT to School cos it was RAINING. Wanted to walk back man.

Immediately after we came back to school at 3.50pm, Vivian got the 6 of them into the conference room while I ran down to fetch XueHao. Then I saw Weijin running up with them. lol. The presentation was...okay? haha. :)

Went Vivo with all the China Exchange Students, Mingyan, Bernadine, Weijin and Vivian after that to bring them for dinner/shopping. On the way back, we were locked outside the backgate. For some reason,

Lin Xi said, "哥哥乖!" to Weijin.

MUAHAHA. Had a super fun time laughing at him while waiting for Mr Wu Jiong to open the door for us. HE ROCKS :D

Lol. Left school at 9.15pm. Reached home at 10pm. Thanks to Vivian's Parents who help me get a cab in an...extraordinary(?) way. Hahahaha xD

TODAY:

Overslept until 6.50am. But still reached school in time! :D
I got out of the house in 5 minutes and cabbed to school.

Morning all the same. I think Xue Lan and Yu Fan enjoyed chemistry lesson the best. They were able to understand! And I did the explanation for the parts that they don't understand in half English but they were able to understand me! :D how pro!

Astrophysics = Astro + Physics.

Astro = Stars= Xing Xing

Physics = study of physical objects = Xue Dong Xi.

Therefore, Astrophysics = Xing Xing Xue Dong Xi / 星星学东西!

Oh and you may ask, what does xing xing xue about? (what do stars learn?) Which in proper words, what is Astrophysics about. Nicholas give this answer : advanced vector-based calculus to incorpriate time varying factors over displacement in a bipolar coordinate system

Ah just came back from school. yes School.

I went back to fetch the china exchange students, went up hostel with him, had dinner and walked around the school while introducing various places to them. It was quite fun, answering all the questions that they ask about the school :D haha.

Tmr they will be joining me for class, then we will either stay and in school until 4pm or go to vivocity. After that, they will sit for a presentation of NHS Curriculum and Programme. The school is obviously trying to get them joining our school hahah. We will then go and visit Clementi Town Centre and eat at the hawker centre before returning to hostel and they will go for some programme in the Observatory. (I didn't even go there before and they get to go! T.T)

So dead. It will be until 8pm tomorrow and I haven't even started on my Zuowen which is due on Tuesday. I did 1 question of Math Assignment 3 and finished up my phy reflection while waiting for them to unpack their stuff in the hostel just now =/ pathetic.

Oh, my mum bought the 换换爱 taiwan drama series! We finished it within two days =.= oh I spent all my time watching it with my Mum yesterday after I get back from the Lib. Moral of Story: NEVER buy any drama series during school term =/ hais.

Anyway, yesterday went to National Lib with Su Hang and Michelle to do the physics project. At first we wanted to do Astrophysics but ended up not knowing how to do so we turned to quantum mechanics. Realised it's ultra chim so tried relativity which is even chimer. Then decided to do engineering of space crafts. Couldnt find any info and decided to do Astrophysics on Stars again =.=

Ohmygod. We spent 3 hours going one whole big round trying to decide what topic to do. :( someone please help! >.<

And now it's not even the homework problem. Physics and Math test on 30th July and I haven't find Ms Lim for make up. More like, I haven't study the lecture note to find her and clear my doubts. What on Earth am I doing man =/

Nothing much happened today, Chinese was 1 hour wasted because I was literally staring at the Zuowen paper thinking of what to write but seriously can't think of anything so in the end, the paper was still blank. =/

English. Ah, went through metaphors, imagery, erm...and some others which I can't remember the name.

MATH! :D the lesson is still as nice as usual. =)
BUTBUTBUT, I screwed the stats quiz! T.T howhowhow! =/ I just can't do stats man.

After math was Axis, nice nat geo video on the "Superflu", like how new kinds of flu is developed. Basically they said that usually it's the merging of flus from 2 different species, usually the ducks/chickens and the human through the medium Pig. hahah. Pig get the flu from both species and the merging is done in it's body O.O

Question: How did the Pig get two types of flu at the same time? AND, since they said that one specie cannot pass flu to another specie directly, then how did the pig get flu from another specie, or even, TWO species? =/ Or the pig just has the special ability to. Ah well.

(Fast forward) They also talked about a new kind of medicine being invented to prevent the spread of Super flu and if the person gets super flu, he/she just has to take the medicine within 48 hours. However, the government of the different countries take the prevention for granted and does not invest on producing the medicine.

Question: Okay, when they say it helps to prevent (but there is no superflu now to prevent), does it mean, ONE dosage and then it prevents/stay immune to the flu for as long as neccessary? If not, it is quite impossible for the person to take the med within 48 hours after infection because the person may not even know he/she is infected =/ hmmm.

Question to government (esp those affected by SARS/H5N1): Why don't invest to prevent virus outbreak? >.<

Anyway, enough of commenting.

After the AXIS, I went to find Mr Fadhir for Chem Make up lesson and we had the lesson in HOD Room. Whoa xD

Okay I better start on Bio Lab Report since Ms Ng haven't reply to my request for late submission =(

Okay, just had a convo with Mr Lee over the MSN, he said that the studies nowadays are made easy with the internet and I commented that it was all because of the great almighty Wikipedia (thought it's always chim).

After that, Mr Lee said that the best place to find out more about NUSHS is wiki and youtube. haha! So he gave an example: Singapore Amazing Flying Competition (SAFC).

What on Earth is that? I questioned. Go search the wikipedia. Mr Lee answered. So I did.

Okay it's terribly different from what I saw the last time when I felt bored and searched the wikipedia about our school. It's amazingly updated. So amazing to the extend that it can be considered scary.

Why? It has even got things like SIMC, P4 Math Carnival, SAMC and even the upcoming SAFC which is totally unknown to us and yet the wikipedia knows it all. O.O

I really wonder if Dr Hang is the person who updates the wikipedia on NUSHS.

Just look at how amazing internet is. hahaha :D

Had been having sore throat, slight headache and coughing for the past 2 days and finally got fever today :(

Anyway, today went for the conductor's concert. It was AWESOME! :D seriously. and I could have enjoyed it better if we got a better seat. I so wanted to see the Sheng but in the end we sat at Row 2 (cos there wasnt any other seats) and I could only see the conductor, Er Hu, Cello and the Bass. Hais.


Chemistry Outreach today had quite a few hiccups but well, it ended quite well after all.

All of us reached Chem Lab 3 at around 8 - 8.30am. Started off by Gary and all checking on the preparations, testing out stuff and so on. I was helping out randomly here and there cos I was like, totally blur and doesn't know what to do. =/ hahaha. Well, lessons learnt.

After that, headed to the theatrette with Mr Wong to put liquid nitrogen and a flask used for demostration there and on-ed the air-con. Went back up, helped randomly again and then all of us headed down to the theatrette again with like, 2 trolleys of chemicals and stuff after Mr Murali briefed us.

Set up at the theatrette, Gary and Royston rehearsed, acted as some P6 kid. haahah.

Anw, the performance was generally okay. Though me, being backstage logistic today is like, totally blur, doesn't know what to do, and so on =P ah well. hope can be better next time..

Okay, another thing i've realised about cheMagic. Alot of things is learnt even in debrief emails. :D hahaha.

Anyway, today went to the orphanage again and I taught qin math! :D After that, I just did my Chinese and Math homework there. o.O Amazingly, I managed to finish 1 chapter of chinese Zuoye and Math Assignment 2 in that ultra noisy environment cos Jannah was blasting music xD

Hmm. Shall continue with my English Essay and Chinese Suibi.

What the hell is this. Two weeks in school. Still no mood to study.

I have two physics worksheet to finish, 1 physics personal reflection, 1 chem worksheet (optional but since i think i can do, why not.). Then there's physics notes, bio notes, CHEM notes to mug. T.T

At this rate, I wonder how on earth am I gonna get my A for chem, let alone what 4.5 for CAP >.<

How I hope I've got the determination that Kiona has.

MOE Excel Fest was like, super tiring. I couldn't even walk properly after that cos my feet were aching like mad. >.<

Okay, reached there at 8.30 in the morning. Started off by having Kenneth to teach me all the Chemistry demos by cheMagic and did my first presenting at around 9am, (the milk one) :D Later just hang around the booth explaining to people about our school curriculum and doing side explanation to some people who can't hear Gary/Kenneth. Also went around tricking people with Hydrogel. muahaha. Or what Kenneth called, Slurpy in 7-Up. hahaha! supposed to be 7-Eleven. XD Roy was there the whole morning as well.

Went down to Lunch with Su Hang, who was mistakenly invited by Dr Seah cos Mrs Chui handed my consent form to her. hahaha. The food there is like, freaking expensive. I could have just skipped my lunch if the coupons weren't provided.

After lunch is where the tiring part started. Presented nearly non-stop to all the people walking pass (especially kids) about the Chem Demos they dislayed on the table. Gary also asked me to learn card tricks. heh. nice one. Must practice XD Yingzhen went to stare at me during one of the demos. >.< ahahah. Missed Gary's 2PM show cos was explaining stuff to a parent. HOW SAD MAN. T.T

Eugene is one funny guy la. ahahha. XD (no offence oops XD) He's like so super tall can. I'm only 10cm taller than him even when he's kneeling down. >.< No wonder Roy looked tiny standing next to him. HAHA XD

During the last hour there, all of us went crazy man. We just grabbed whatever's in sight and poured into the cup. ahahhaha. It was to have fun and also to waste chemicals since we had too much, (esp Milk, 3 cartons left). THERE WAS EVEN A PRECIPITATE!

=DDDD Royston laughed crazy O.O Fine, all of us did. HAHAHA. XD

At the last part nobody was like in the mood to present already. So Royston eventually took a huge beaker, spammed it with milk and we poured in a super lot of Food Colouring, followed by Eugene squeezing in a whole chunk of Soap. Bleh, it didn't work. Guess it's overflow of everything. =(

Later we cleaned up, realised Eugene's one good cleaner. hahaha. Rolled up banners, played with rubber bands and left the hall at 8.30 PM with Su Hang and Eugene. Tiring day >.<


Okay, currently waiting for the games to transfer into PSP and then I can watch CG too (if it works), so I'm making a post to kill time >.<

Anw, went to school to help out at the Talent Search 2008 in the morning as a photographer before heading to the Science Centre to be audience for the SAMC. Well. NUSHS didn't win anything from the competition though we were the organising school. What a disappointment but yea, our competitors didn't get any help from teachers, unless we ask for it.

After the SAMC, me and some girls plus some guys from our class went around the Science Centre. IT WAS LIKE SO FUN! :D we saw an electricity show and i saw SO MUCH ELECTRICITY. hahaha. XD like, literally.

Okay, then there was the dinosaur exhibit where they made the dinosaurs really realistic such that even the eye moves. There's some random exhibits around some where and there was a slide! All of us went to play there :D Kiona was thrown out of the slide and she landed with a thud. ahahahah! :D

Ohohoh, there this face transformer thing there you take a picture of yourself with the machine and they'll show how you looked like when you're a baby,child,teenager,young adult and an elderly. OMG IT WAS SO FUNNY! All of us took turns to laugh at each other XD

Okay I guess the transfering's nearly done.

Okay I feel like changing back to the SpongCake Blogskin. Realised this skin's colour is seriously too light.

Anyway. Today went to the Children's Home again to teach the people there. I shan't use the word "kids" for today as I was litereally teaching a "N" Level Student. Omg he keep talking and joking around except for the first 10 minutes when we first started the tutoring. We didn't even do any work at all after that man. He even went out of the Study Room to smoke. O.O

Nicole was teaching a Sec 1 guy who really doesnt look like a Sec 1.

After the whole thing, the four of them left first and I was alone there at the Children's Home waiting for my Dad to come over and pick me up. Meanwhile, all those kids that we've taught before came over and talk to me! :D Diana took my camera and went around taking pictures. Udean and Kqin koped my handphone (and people, that's why I cant reply messages if you guys smsmed me today at 5.40pm to 6.30pm). >.<

Jannah showed me her quizzes and worksheet results. They are like, 14/15, 7/8, 12/15 that kind of thing! Ohmygod I felt so happy for her! :D Then she asked me how to do a few questions on her assignment. It was geometry man. The Sec 2 Geom. Anyway. At the same time, Hidayah came over and asked me to teach her English. Sadly only helped abit as my Dad reached already so I got Jannah to take over me instead. :)

Now I really feel very fortunate. After today. One of the kids I mentioned above (I shant say who). Her parents fought and they sent her to this Children's Home. They did not even send her to school so she's already not attending school at such a young age. I guess she's only 9, or around there. I mean, how can her parents do this. She has got nothing to do their argument and if they had financial difficulties, they can always apply for someone financial aid or something. They just ruined someone's future.

This girl continuously asked us to hug her and she kept reminding me that I have to remember her name. She even insisted on writing out contacts onto a proper piece of paper just for her. There's one sentence that she said, "Can take a picture of me? So you won't forget who am I."

One more thing, she deleted my photos with the other kids and there's only the photo that I took with her.

I guess it's because of the lack of attention at home (or does her parents even give her a proper home?) or she's just never loved. Even if what she told us was fake, I guess all those are not what a normal kid at that age will do and say.

Really, if I had the ability, I would have sponsored her school fees.

Ohmygod.


Surprisingly, after half slacking, I actually got stuff done! :D

I guess I had been concentrating on CCA, SMESA and CIG stuff too much that I've been neglecting the studies. >.< Now the most important thing I'm left with is to study Chemistry, Physics and Biology. ESPECIALLY BIO. Omg I don't wanna get B for Bio.

I guess I should make it a point to study at least one of them tomorrow. Hope I won't get too tired after tutoring kids at the orphanage. So, whoever sees me online tomorrow, please chase me off MSN unless I have a very good reason for being online.

Anyway, yesterday during Physics, Shao Hao keep asking Ms Lim some questions about the PV=nRT equation and Ms Lim was like, "Wah Phiang! Who's your Math Teacher!?" oops? XD

Okay. Math Presentation was okay today. At least I think I did my part well thought Mr Lee said our presentation is detailed, and too detailed. >.< Such that we're in the danger of invading other people's territory. oh no.
