Ah! today was the esplanade performance @ the concourse! :D
It was not considered SUPER great but it was quite great and it was ULTRA fun! :D First we had our own rehearsal at the school's concourse when the year 2s came out of the Audi from FPS and started looking at us. Making me feel stressed when playing my little Sheng solo. Then the bus arrived and we went to Esplanade! I was trying to practice my self-dependent skills for carrying sheng around but realised it was VERY hard...hahaha. XD
So i was stuck with my sheng at the front of the bus again cause I have to hold it and make sure it doesnt roll away and topple over. blah. so bored that time! Okay, then we unloaded our instruments from the bus and carried them all the way to stage, did sound testing and then went the holding room, which was the ... Green room? is it? not sure.... We ate our dinner there! :D Desmond, Zuxin, Samantha and I were having food exchange! :D ahaha! I got Desmond's potato? and another thing, Zuxin gave me...I don't know what. Samantha gave me Tofu!! :D Tofus rock. I gave Zuxin and Desmond alot of Veggie and gave Samantha chicken wing! :D cause she got a vegetarian meal...
So we ate! Then we joked around in the holding room before Dr Wong settled us down and brought us to walk around in the Esplanade, including the backstage of the concert hall! IT WAS SO COOL! :D;D
Okay, so its around the time already (through out the whole time gregory was talking about this english speech and asking us to suggest a topic. haha, oh and I explored hansiang's wallet. xD ). Then, we went back to the holding room, went to toilet and did all the preps before we go to the stage, sat there, and start! :D
The first two was quite okay, although it did not really sound as nice as before...probably because the audience was quite noisy (it was an open public concert) and that everyone was nervous. So all the piano soloists performed after that. I especially loved Lynn and Yiyi's Piano for 4 hands. It was ultra nice! :D oh, samantha's guzheng solo really rocks too! I was staring at her guzheng when she was performing (i was right behind her). hahaha. Then it comes to my sheng 12 bars solo. OHGOD. can you imagine the sheng actually went "frozen" under the extremely cold aircon and that the "DOH" (2nd note of the solo), didnt came out! So there was a millisecond gap between the first and the second note. ARGH. :( :( :( :(
Well, the second one was really nice actually. Just that there was a very big crowd already due to the late timing...and I was actually quite sleepy. But whatever it is..The sheng solo came out quite nice :)
Okay..then we were on our way from the holding room to the taxi stand where we will wait for the bus. I was walking with Lynn, Yiyi and Margaret cause they helped to carry the sheng over some bumps on the road, then there comes Dr Wong running and screaming something. I was like" HUH? SCARE ME!" then dr wong started laughing like mad so I asked Lynn why was she so high. Lynn said, "This is just after the first show and she is already like that, wonder how she will be like tomorrow!" hahaha! :D
Oh the bus back to school.... ( we passes the merlion)
Me: "MERLION!" (as thou I've never seen the merlion before...)
Dr Wong: " I SHALL BE YOUR TOUR GUIDE TODAY AND ON YOUR LEFT YOU SEE THE....building."
hahahaha! we've already passed the merlion by the time she finished her sentence man! :D Then she was ultra funny la. hahaha.
Okay, 9.31pm we reached school. Put all our instruments back to co room, took our things and went home. My parents came to pick me up. Qian Cheng and Reiko took my car to Simei (: We talked abt alot of things on the car....
Then we I reached home, I bathed. :) Then went online cause I heard from Vivian that many C.O people are online. Greg's rushing his English Speech now. poor thing! :( And I ate instant noodle for supper, now I'm blogging!
HAHA, so the post ends here and I'm gonna sleep next! :) :) :) BYES!
